Beste BTBB-lid

Op 30 juni 2022 vertrokken we om 10.00u. met drie bestuursleden van de BTBB (Chairman Willem Vinckier, Marshall & Guide Koenraad Cracco and Secretay Luc Vandevelde)  met de ferry DFDS vanuit Duinkerke naar Dover.

Vrijdag 01 07 2022 was het grote event van The Duke of York's Royal Military School "GRAND DAY: PRIZE GIVING"

Om 08.45u. konden we in een grote ronde tent genieten van een koffie of thee met een koekje.

Nadien was de prijsuitreiking voor laatstejaars studenten en  studenten uit alle middelbare jaren.

Op de middag genoten we van een "lekker" middagmaal.

's Namiddag zagen we de uitgebreide parade (Trooping The Colour).

In de late namiddag vertrokken Willem en Luc terug met de Ferry naar Calais.

On behalf of all the Trustees, staff and students at the Duke of York's Royal Military School, may I extend a very warm welcome to all our guests, parents and friends.

During the morning of Grand Day we celebrate the achievements of our students, with the annual Prize Giving in the Nye Hall. This year we extend a particular welcome to our Guest of Honour, The Lady Colgrain, Her majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Kent.

Grand Day is a very special occasion.

This afternoon we commemorate our heritage and tradition with the unique TROOPING THE COLOUR CEREMONY.

We are one of only two Schools to have its own consecrated Colours. This afternoon's ceremony honours this Colours and involves every student in the school.

This year we extend a particular welcome to our Guest of Honour, HRH The Princess Royal Ann.
